WORLD DAY of PRAYER

World Day of Prayer is an international ecumenical event celebrated all over the world on the first Friday in March.
This year we prayed for and support the people of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The theme of our service focused on God’s promise to his people in exile ‘For I know the plans I have for you.’ from Jeremiah 29:11. ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’
Our Parish hosted this service with over 40 people in total who attended.
We welcomed members of our surrounding churches of Grace Anglican, Northway Uniting Church in Beldon, Mary Magdalene Anglican and Our Lady of the Missions in Whitford who also participated in the service and joined parishioners of our parish for morning tea.
We were also honoured to have present our Joondalup MLA representative Ms Emily Hamilton.
Thank you to Penny for coordinating this event, St Simon Peter Care Group for serving morning tea and all the ladies who baked! Special thank you to our combined Parish choirs for their fantastic role in leading the community in song!
