A big thank you to the Parish Social Committee for their great effort in organising our recent Parish event and all who helped make it a great success!
As the response of interest grew to beyond the capacity which our parish centre could host, we had to move our event to the Simon Carson Hall at the St. Simon Peter School to accommodate our very well attendance of 140 adults and 49 children.
We had cuisines from Philippines, Indonesia, Burma, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan and there were enough variety of delicious dishes to suit all taste buds! Some parishioners had the opportunity to experience dishes they had never tasted before. All would have not been possible without the generous time, talents and dishes donated by all who cooked.
With some light musical entertainment from Daniel, Brian and James and a Burmese cultural dance performed by Betty followed by some dancing on the floor, it was a night to remember.
