Recently we sadly had to say our farewells to our long-standing Parish Priest Fr Francis who after 8 years has moved to Nollamara Parish.
Many Parishioners showed their appreciation and thanks for his service to our Parish with many gifts and well wishes.
Over 80 parishioners attended each of our two main events – a Supper Dance on Saturday 23rd and on the 24th a special Morning Tea after the 10am Mass.
FAREWELL MESSAGE FROM FR FRANCIS KOT
This is my last weekend at St Simon Peter Parish which was my home for the last eight years and you were my family. During these past eight years we experienced many joyful moments and events, as well as some sorrowful. As I look back at the years spent together, I would not only see myself as your Parish Priest or a leader, but rather as your companion on the journey of faith. Leaving this Parish, I have no regrets and I’m taking with me only good memories.
I wish to express my deep gratitude to all of you for your love and support, and above all for your authentic faith, commitment, and concern for the spiritual well-being of this Parish community.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
