Mother's Day Community Event

Recently Simon Peter Care together with the Parish Youth Group and Prendiville Catholic College welcomed members of our parish and local community to a Mother’s Day morning tea and Youth car wash on Saturday 11 May. This was a free event, which was attended by around 40 adults and a few children. Prendiville Catholic College (PCC) supplied 14 students who were accompanied by 2 teachers to assist.  The PPC students welcomed Guests who were given a number for lucky draw prizes. These students also interacted with the guests by chatting or playing board or card games. They provided musical entertainment and served tea, coffee and food to guests which was generously supplied by PCC.
While guests relaxed, the Parish Youth Group was hard at work outside offering a car wash service for a donation.
There was also an opportunity to purchase last minute Mother’s Day gifts from the Prendiville Gallery which had all there wares made by students out on display.
All in all, a very successful endeavor!
