Archbishop Visits Parish

On the weekend of 8th to 10th of November, our Parish was honoured to welcome Archbishop Timothy Costelloe for our Episcopal Visitation. This occurs every 5 years and our last visit was in 2008 with Bishop Don Sproxton.

St. Vincent de Paul High Tea

Our inaugural SVDP Melbourne Cup High Tea was held on Saturday 2nd November at Francis Jordan Catholic School.
The guests were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and later served sandwiches, scones, cakes and of course a cup of tea. The sold out event was a huge success and as a result we are already receiving enquiries about when the next High Tea will be held.

Last Saturday night (26th October), the Parish got with the spirit of Oktoberfest with a lively celebration on the Parish Green.
Entertained by live music, young and old with some who dressed up for the occasion enjoyed traditional German delicacies on offer, such as German sausage, sauerkraut, pretzels and a delicious black forest cake to top it all off.  Wunderbar!

First Holy Communion Workshops

On the weekend of 10th, 11th and 17th, 18th of August, the Parish held Parent/children Workshops for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.
Candidates from Francis Jordan Catholic, St Simon Peter and PREP attended with their parents and  were presented to the Parish at the Mass of Election.
